A Girl For Halle Berry

Finally!  Halle Berry had her baby earlier today, Star magazine is reporting.  Yes, I know, Star, aka the last bastion of truth, but People is also confirming it, and c'mon, she was about ready to burst.  The baby girl was born at 10:17 am and weighs 7 lbs. 4 oz. 

In true Star fashion, of course they also claim Halle had a scare, that being high blood pressure.  At least they didn't say she fell down a flight of stairs or was caught in a snowstorm, as that's always what happens on soap operas.  Oh, or is involved in a warehouse explosion.  That's currently what's happening on "General Hospital" and I'm pretty sure the outcome isn't favorable to the character.  But, I digress.  According to the tabloid, everything turned out fine and Halle is over the moon.

"Halle was overcome with emotion when she finally held her little girl. She said everything she had gone through was worth that moment. The tears kept coming as Halle didn't even want the nurses to take her baby to clean her up and measure. It was a truly beautiful scene."

No name news yet.  I'm guessing the last name with be Aubry, for baby daddy Gabriel, but maybe they'll go with Berry-Aubry, in which case I'm rooting for Sherry or Kerrie for a first name.

Halle Berry: Any Day Now

Halle Berry out shopping for groceries yesterday with her yummy baby daddy, Gabriel Aubry.  I seriously hope that baby is due soon, because that looks seriously uncomfortable.  Just looking at her makes me want to call my doctor and ask for an epidural. 

Everyone assumes this baby will be the most! beautiful! baby! ever! based on his or her parents' DNA.  It would truly be a cruel trick of nature if the kid was just, you know, an ordinary looking baby.  Worse yet, having to hear the likes of the sycophantic media crown it most beautiful when it's really not.  Which isn't to say I won't be chomping at the bit to see pictures.  Because, have we met?  I totally will.

Look at her.  At the Palm Springs Film Festival, almost eight months pregnant and Halle Berry looks like that.  I should hate her.  And I would, but I love that dress.  I want that dress.  It doesn't even look that maternity--I'm sure I could carry it off.  And because it's not clingy, and because she is pregnant, it might even fit me.  Probably not, but I'm in a fashion fantasy bubble right now--please don't burst it.

It's not just a baby bump, rather a beautiful one...given its gene pool and all.  Yes, a death match for "Most Beautiful Baby" is already being planned between the Berry babe and Shiloh Jolie-Pitt.  Details to follow, but I'm sure it'll be a great fight.

Meanwhile, Halle gestates The Blessed One as she strolls around NYC.  Would you believe I had a pair of boots *exactly* like those.  Of course, I had them in 1989, but regardless, it's clear Halle and I are dos compadres--although I never looked half as cute and stylish and my hair had about a foot more height to it.  Otherwise?  Twins.
