James Bond's Aston Martin DBS was shaken, stirred and dumped into the drink by a stunt man on a film set in northern Italy.
People reports that the $250,000.00 vehicle was a total loss after plunging into Lake Garda during heavy rains Sunday. A witness told reporters the car skidded before hitting the lake and plunging in 150-feet deep water. When pulled out by a crane, its roof was nearly crushed flat:
"Let's put it this way, Bond or no Bond, that car isn't going anywhere but the mechanic, and for quite some time too."
The stunt man swam to safety and was taken to a nearby hospital with a thorax injury.
The new Bond film, "Quantum of Solace," which again stars Daniel Craig as Agent 007, is due out later this year.
