Can you believe Cate Blanchett had a baby a mere 5 weeks ago? I'm caught being being in awe and being so overcome with envy that I want to hate her for looking this good. But I can't hate her BECAUSE she looks so good. This woman is a sly one...
So Cate's in Cannes, joined by co-stars Harrison Ford, Karen Allen, and Shia LeBeouf--and director Steven Spielberg and producer George Lucas--for the premiere of the long-awaited "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull." Terrible title. Far too long. Then, again, I must confess, I'm not a big fan of these movies. I know, blasphemy! I usually only admit such atrocities when I've been drinking, but there you have it.
Hence, I'm not particularly jazzed about this movie. Oh, I'm sure it'll make mountains of money, but so do a lot of films I have no interest in. As to critics? Well, thus far it's only knocking their socks off. The Hollywood Reporter gave it a decidedly 'meh' review, summing it up with the following:
"The actors are asked to do little more than look reasonably alert. This proves to be Indiana Jones' greatest challenge."
