George Clooney And Sarah Larson: Kaput?

Did Sarah Larson exceed her freshness date? She did if you believe In Touch magazine. They claim that George Clooney gave his girlfriend of almost a year the boot. Well, she is 29 and The Clooney likes to adhere to the "Logan's Run" rule: Over thirty and you're off to the glue factory.

Per an insider--who I'm sure was right on the phone with the tabloid--George is "relieved to be single again," but that breaking up was hard to do:

"He thinks Sarah is sweet and that is why it was so hard to break up with her. The truth is that they had little in common and he just doesn't want to be tied down."

Gee, there's a shock. A former Las Vegas cocktail waitress and a Triple A-List celebrity with nothing in common. Go figure.

George's rep issued an interesting non-comment comment, saying:

“I can only confirm that we have never commented on George's personal life.”

Jessica Simpson And Tony Romo: On, Off, On...Off?

Are Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo broken up or not? And does anyone care anymore?

Presenting the "they're still together--everything is fine!" side of the argument is People magazine. Per them, the two were like two lovebirds all weekend, up to and including at Ashlee Simpson's wedding (sidebar: Papa Joe married Ashlee, since he has to be involved in every aspect of his daughters' lives. The betting starts now as to whether he'll deliver her baby and I'm not even kidding). Per an insider:

"They were kissing and holding hands throughout the night. He was very sweet to her. They were very much a couple."

Aww, that's sweet. But, wait--don't go digging your "Jess-N-Tony 4EVA!" t-shirt out of the trash just yet. If you believe US Weekly, Romo only went to the wedding because Papa J begged him to come to "support the family" (creepy) and that now? Jessica left for a Mexican vacation with her parents, but no Tony. Per the US source:

"He's broken up with her before, but I don't know if they'll get back together this time."

I still this these two have dunzo written all over them. Poor Jess! Yet again to find that "he's just not that into you" applies to her.

Kate Hudson And Owen Wilson Break-Up...Again

Mere days ago there were all sorts of engagement rumors, but those were really off center. Kate Hudson and Owen Wilson have re-broken up, only a couple of months after getting back together. Can't anyone stay together anymore? Will no one think of the children? Oh, they don't have any, do they? Well, then, nevermind.

The two first started dating back in September 2006 and broke up last Spring. They reconnected in Miami where Owen was filming "Marley & Me," but filming's done and now they are, too - and this time it sounds like it's for good.

Per a friend of Wilson's:

"It was a pretty bad breakup. Owen said it was a tough one. He definitely doesn't want to dwell on it. He wants to put it behind him."

Despite that, it sounds like it was Owen who didn't want to be tied down. He was spotted the other night at N.Y.C.'s Upstairs with not one, but two, women.

Per an onlooker:

"He was pretty chummy with the ladies ... he was certainly doing some sweet talking. He looked happy to be there hanging with them."

And, per a Kate source:

"She feels dumb thinking it was so serious."

Oh, sister, I feel ya. We've all been there. I suggest surrounding yourself with friends who will tell you that he wasn't good enough for you and you're better off without him. That's always a good starting point - and drinking always helps.

More Evidence Jessica Simpson And Tony Romo Are Finito

Question: How much chatter does there have to be before a rumor becomes fact - or at least urban legend? The Jessica Simpson/Tony Romo breakup stories keep coming fast and furious; where there's that much smoke...

The latest whisper comes from The Dallas Morning News, which cites not one - but two sources close to the couple who say the break-up rumors are true - so it doesn't matter that their reps keep denying it, doesn't matter that supposedly Tony will be with Jessica at sister Ashlee's wedding to Pete Wentz this Saturday. Nope - they're done.

Further proof--or "proof," if you prefer--came on Wednesday when Tony was approached by newspaper reporters and commented:

"I'm not talking about Jessica."

I mean, I grant you: she's not the most fascinating person to talk about, but if you were still with someone wouldn't you want to address it, rather than not talk about it?

Poor Jess. All this on top of a week when her ex, John Mayer, is making news by making out with Jennifer Aniston.

Talk about adding insult to injury.

Jessica Simpson And Tony Romo Are Over

TMZ is reporting that Jessica Simpson and her Dallas Cowboys' quarterback beau, Tony Romo, are finito! There have been rumors for awhile now that all was not well in Texas paradise and, apparently, it's true.

The site says sources in the know gave them the lowdown. Jessica and Tony's reps? Saying it's not true. Jess? Also saying it's not true. Of course, Jessica has a history of break-ups and make-ups (John Mayer, anyone?), so even if correct, this one might not stick. I get the impression Jess doesn't give up easy...and I don't mean that as a strong character trait--more like an annoying habit.

Kanye West Calls Off Engagement

Grammy Award-winning rapper Kanye West is solo again.

Designer Alexis Phifer told People that she and West called off their year-and-a-half engagement but they still "remain friends."

"I wish him the best in his future and all of his endeavors. He's one of the most talented people I've ever met."

West and the designer of the "Ghita" clothing line, had been dating since 2002 and finally announced their engagement in 2006.

West, who is currently on his "Glow in the Dark" tour, has so far, remained quiet on the break up.

Mary-Louise Parker Breaks Engagement

Mary-Louise Parker and that yummy Jeffrey Dean Morgan have broken off their engagement, People.com reports. The two star on Showtime's "Weeds" (great show, by the way) where she plays a pot dealer and he's her dead husband. They had been together a couple years, albeit on and off.

It finally looked like it was permanently on when they got engaged back in February. I remember thinking "there goes another one." No, I thought "good for them." Ahem. Their reps aren't talking, so who knows what happened, but with these two, they could be back together by this time next week and I'll think "Man!" No, no, I'll think "oh, that's nice." Really, I will.

Carrie Underwood and Chace Crawford Call It Quits

From the "I Didn't Know They Were Dating Dept.":

Us Magazine says country music honey Carrie Underwood and actor Chace Crawford from the TV series, "Gossip Girl," have broken up. In my defense, I don't watch "Gossip Girl" and even though I try to keep tabs on Carrie, there's only so much time in the day, y'know?

Anyway, according to the mag, the pair have been together since last July, but didn't go public with their relationship until October. They also report that Crawford recently shot down rumors that he's romantically involved with his friend, singer/songwriter J.C. Chasez.

"For the record, we're both straight. We're not dating."
