Miley Cyrus Wont Attend Scheduled Event in Orlando

The Disney Channel said on Thursday that Miley Cyrus will not attend a network media party in Orlando. 

The actress and pop star had been expected to attend the event today, which would have marked her first public appearance since she made headlines for being the subject of a controversial photo shoot for Vanity Fair magazine.

Cyrus had been scheduled to appear at the media party along with dozens of other Disney Channel stars to film the "Disney Channel Games" for charity. Walt Disney World spokesman Gary Buchanan said Cyrus would not be attending the event and so fa, officials have failed to elaborate, however Cyrus did spend some time at the resort on Thursday, where she signed autographs and posed for photos with fans.

A Disney representative told E! Online that Cyrus is still Scheduled to perform on Saturday night at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando.
