Heidi Klum: Blunt As Ever
Heidi Klum is the cover girl for the upcoming issue of Marie Claire magazine, and I have to tell you, this woman cracks me up. You know how you have people who will, no matter what, just tell you what you want to hear, even if it isn't true? Or they'll be super 'rah-rah' and always cheer you up? Yeah, that's not Heidi. If you ask her a question, be prepared to really hear what she thinks.
For example, the interviewer asked her how she looks so incredible after having three kids in the space of four years.
“I always think, Look at how people were before they were pregnant. If you were a toned, healthy, energetic person, most likely you will be like that again. A lot of people come to me, and they’re like, ‘Will I look like you after I have the baby?’ And I say, ‘Well, how were you before?’ You can’t kid yourself.”
But, but...I like to kid myself. Really, it's what sustains me. Well, that and ice cream.
Heidi also lets us all in on how husband Seal proposed.
“He took me by helicopter. He had an igloo built there, and they’d brought up everything: a bed with sheets inside the igloo, rose petals everywhere, candles. Very, very romantic! There was food and champagne, and then the helicopter left. It was a little scary, too, because you’re so cut off from the world. No trees, nothing - it was hard-core. But I was ecstatic. I loved it. It was wonderful.”
Points for originality, I'll give him that. I mean, who thinks marriage and goes "ah, igloo!?"
