Kate Hudson And Owen Wilson: Taking The Next Step?

Kate Hudson is apartment shopping in NYC, with the thought to live in the city part-time with Owen Wilson, reports The NY Daily News.  A friend of Kate's told the newspaper:

"She is ready to nest and has even been talking about having more little ones.  She is relieved to be more settled again.  She really felt as if she were testing her limits going out while she and Owen were separated."

First off, why do all celebrities have such chatty friends?  Regardless, I could see this being true.  Ever since they got back together, they've been getting closer and closer, being less secretive about being out in public--Kate even brought her kid, Ryder, along for one of their outings.  And she's had time to go out and see what else is out there in the time they were broken up.

I'm still not sure who did the breaking up with whom; I've heard it both ways: that she wanted to be serious and he didn't and vice versa.  I could see it being her, as she got married really young and probably wanted to be single for awhile.  Hopefully this will work out for them.  I worry about Owen--that he's still fragile.  Plus, I have a deep fondness for the movie these two get on, "You, Me and Dupree."  It's not deep (gee, ya think?), but it's hilarious.

By the way, poll time: do you think Kate more resembles Goldie Hawn or her father, Bill Hudson?  I swear she's Goldie's doppelganger but a friend says that's just the hair and demeanor that misleads me.  Am I nuts or is she?

Someone should tell Owen about this, as he was photographed drunk last night in Miami at a bar/restaurant with a very buxom blonde who was definitely not Kate. (The pic is on perezhilton.com.)
