Katie Holmes Wants Reese's Career

I honestly thought it was April Fool's Day when I read this story, it's just that outlandish.  But, nope, checked the calendar and we're not there yet.  I mean, what else am I supposed to think when I see a headline that says Katie Holmes wants to be the next Reese Witherspoon? 

Katie, apparently, has decided she wants to be taken seriously as an actress--in which case it would probably please her to know I seriously think she's a joke--and be respected the way Reese Witherspoon is.  That's right.  The Reese Witherspoon who has an Oscar and has worked her ass off to get the career she has.  And Katie wants that.  Good luck. 

Per a source, Tommy Cruise wants to help the wife-like unit get great offers, but the Stepford Wife is intent on doing  it on her own.  Which, when you consider there are photos out there of him having to escort her to the bathroom, is pretty hilarious.

"Tom has offered to make calls to ensure she gets a first refusal on the hot scripts, but Katie insists she wants to achieve success without his help."

Um, Tommy can't even get the hot scripts for himself--now he's going to get them for the two-time Razzie nominee?
