How Much Will Brangelina's Baby Pics Go For?

Angelina_zahara

With the $6 million Jennifer Lopez got for the People magazine spread for her twins (which, by the way?  Not all that--unless she was going for pretentious), the "how much are babies' photos worth?" stories are kicking up.  Page Six asked Barry Levine, executive editor of the National Enquirer, and Bonnie Fuller, editorial director for Star, how much they thought Brad and Angelina's baby--or babies--would go for on the open market.  Er, I mean their photos.  There won't literally be a baby auction.  Levine guessed $10 million and Fuller thought maybe $8 million.  Of course, they had to both hoist themselves on their soapbox and proselytize on the matter.  Said Levine:

"It's become big business now.  It's outrageous, they've gotten very sophisticated. The rights are bought up now even before the celeb enters the hospital. They hire extra security so it's impossible to obtain a photo illegally...When I was the editor of Star in LA, we bought photos of Lisa Marie Presley's baby back in 1989 for $100,000, and at the time I thought it was outrageous. Now it's chump change." He added, "I'd like to see more people like Sarah Jessica Parker standing outside the hospital and giving the shot away for free."

I'm sure you would--you'd actually have a shot at printing those.  Added Fuller:

"The magazines must look at it as a long-term investment, but I think it'll cap out at a certain point."

Well, duh.  Especially because half the time these investments don't even payoff.

Anyway, the above photo was taken last week of Angie taken Zahara to a toy store.  Look at that face.  She is such a cutie.  I almost like the half-smile more than her 'bitch, please' face.  Almost.
