Paris Hilton Won't Go Away

Paris_feb_08

US Weekly is reporting that Paris Hilton is returning to television to star in her second reality show.  All I can say is: Noooooooooooooooo!!!!  I mean, really, is there anyone chomping at the bit for this?  Have there been petitions?  Pickets?  Are people threatening to never watch TV again if Wonky isn't on their screens?  Because I thought the Writer's Strike had just been resolved and everyone was 'happy happy, joy joy' over NOT having to watch shitty shows anymore.  Now this?  How much more am I supposed to take, people?  I thought "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" was bad, but this is just too much.

But, wait...it gets better.  The premise of the show?

"The show is going to be about her searching for a new best friend.  Paris is tired of the haters and she's looking for someone new. She's looking for someone new and cool who she can trust."

Because nothing says sincerity like having a camera follow you around as you "search" for a new BFF.  That's not contrived in the least.  The source also promises the show will "show a side of Paris not seen on Simple Life."  Ah, yes, that last bastion of quality programming.
