Nobody Likes Katie Holmes
She may be married to "the biggest movie star in the world" (her words, not mine, for sure), but Katie Holmes isn't having such a good week. First she got totally annihilated in the "Mad Money" reviews, being called the film's "weak link," and that's kind, at least if you compare it to the New York Post:
Holmes, with Alice Cooper hair and crazy Jim Carrey eyes, looks terrible and acts worse, unless this movie is unintentionally a lobotomy documentary. Whatever could have happened to her in the last couple of years to zap the talent out of her like this?
Hmmm...yeah, I can't imagine what that could be? Really, not a clue. Ahem.
Regardless, bad reviews mean nothing if a movie kicks some ass at the box office. Fortunately, America isn't that dumb, as the box offce numbers are in: "Mad Money" came in 7th with only $7.7 million in tickets. In comparison "27 Dresses," with the annoying Katherine Heigl, opened with $22.4 million.
Lesson: People prefer obnoxious loudmouths to braindead zombies.
And as if all that wasn't enough--well, that, and having a cuckoo for Scieno puffs husband--there's a growing Internet buzz that the future ex-Mrs. Cruise did not really run the NYC Marathon. The whole conspiracy-laden points are laid out on Defamer, and, honestly? It looks like someone's got some explaining to do. I mean, I'm sure there's a perfectly good explanation for why the guy who was allegedly her trainer not being registered for the race, yet having a running chip on his shoe--while sporting a 2003 bib. It's probably something along the lines of we're not Scientologists so we couldn't possibly understand--but, still, I'd love to hear the excuses. That's always so much fun.

Not sure if your site registers these kinds of trackback links, but I’ve featured your post today in my sidebar (in the "From the brains of other bloggers" box). This is a bit in which I choose a particularly good sentence of yours and link it - wildly removed from its context - back to your post.

gosh, it doesnt take a complete moron to know that her new movie sucks. the previews for it arent even remotely funny & thats usually where they include the funniest parts of bad comedies.
she used to have more of a personality, but i am not sure if she was ever a "good" actress. she should just stick to being a mom & stepford wife & anything other than acting.
