Britney Rumor Patrol
If you haven't been rendered blind by the airbrushing on the Allure cover, here's a quick rundown of the various Britney stories/rumors/nightmares that have reared their heads in the last 24 hours.
K-Fed's Wrath: The subpoena train kept rolling last night, as Brit Brit's former assistant, Shannon Funk, was served at the Long Beach airport last night. I love the way they're all getting served at random places--it's like a "Law & Order" episode come to life.
Oops, Can She Do It Again?: Rumors are swirling that Spears is going to be performing at MTV's Video Music Awards next month. Supposedly her label is worried she'll either eff it up or just not show. I'd bet on the latter.
US Weekly vs. Spears, Take Three: Pulling a trifecta, US Weekly has Brit on the cover for the third week in a row, this time with stories by former staffers of Spears drinking in front of her kids (there's a shock), stripping down to her undies at will (again, no surprise), and asking her assistants for constant affirmation that she's pretty enough, smart enough, and that, gosh darnit, people like her.
